Great Results Using a French Manicure Pen - Simple Nail Designs

By: Jesse F. Smith

The French nail manicure is the classic look. It is appropriate for special occasions, such as weddings and for casual days, such as the beach. It is the epitome of simple nail designs. Many women would love to know how to achieve simple nail designs like these at home. Good news! Many stores now have a French manicure pen specifically for this purpose.

Simple Nail Designs: What is a French manicure pen?

A French manicure pen contains white polish so that virtually anyone can create a white tip effortlessly. Many women like simple nail designs like the French nail manicure and have tried to achieve it on their own without success. This is because the only option at the time was to use regular white polish. The problem with the brushes that come with regular polishes is that they are only good for painting the entire nail, not just the tip of it. Using a French manicure tool is more precise. Regular nail polish can also be very messy! If you make a mistake trying to achieve simple nail designs like this, the polish spreads all over your finger.

A French manicure pen is not as messy and dries very fast. It is like a marker and gives you better control than a brush can. Unless you are an artist, chances are that you feel more comfortable using a French manicure tool than white nail polish form the bottle. Sometimes the pen can even be versatile and used to create other simple nail designs. However, a French manicure pen is best for creating a white tip on your nails. To achieve this look, polish your nails with a clear base. Then, using your pen, start at the tip of your nail from side to the other. With practice, you should only have to do this once in order to create the white tip. Then, polish your nails with clear nail polish again. Voila! A French nail manicure has never been easier!

Lip Balms should be a girl's best friend!

Author: C. Miguel

Cosmetics are one of the things a girl must have available in her bag. A little touch up does wonder aesthetically. But are all cosmetic products necessary? I often ask myself.

I look at my bag and check out my makeup bag only to be amazed at how little content it has. I have eyeliner and a lip balm. That's it, none of those mascaras or foundations. Hey, I'm a simple girl with simple needs. When I was younger I thought I didn't need these two but that changed as I grew older and realized the sad effects of not having them.

The lips are one of a girl's prized possessions as it is one of the most visible. It expresses her emotions, her sensuality and her allure. This is exactly the reason why it's only important for girls to look out for lip products that not only adds beauty but helps protect it from lip chaps as well. It took me a long while to notice how dry my lips were becoming and it wasn't a pretty sight. This led me to search for lip moisturizers that can bring back the moisture in my lips. I've tried lip creams and even lip glosses but have figured out that it didn't work for me. I then switched to lip balms to find relief. Amazingly, it worked. The moisture was brought back in my lips. It didn't dry out and didn't crack. The next one I'm going to try out would be natural lip balms. If lip balms worked for me, natural ones would definitely do too.

Yes, cosmetics are important but for me, a lip balm has everything I need.
