The Art of Makeup

I have been fascinated with makeup since I was a little girl. I always admired the precision in which my aunt would paint her face. She was a masterpiece right off the cover of a magazine. In my home makeup wasn’t permitted, so before homeroom I’d sneak into the school bathroom to apply my creamy lavender eye shadow and black eyeliner. It took my mom months to notice, but by that time she had given in.
I’m the type of gal who enjoys the ritual of getting ready to go out more than actually going out. I set the mood by putting on music and carefully laying out the elements – my makeup routine is practically an art form.
